I have teamed up with Patreon to help potters climb the very steep learning curve that ceramics presents.
The way ceramics is taught is changing. The potential for the self taught potter is growing as exponentialy as the internet and all its tools.
While I do have several semesters of high school and college experience, in over 30 years as a professional potter I have learned the most from the clay itself.
This is how I teach, from the perspective of the clay.
My intention is for this site to become a school of sorts. A community of potters wanting to work hard to understand, 1. what the clay is saying and 2. how to respond.
So I teach, out of a desire to share this experience with the world.
Patreon has helped me to be able to do this. It's a win win. The platform has enabled me to reach many people who want to learn more about making pottery and they in turn have supported me with their patronage, enabling me to dedicate more time to teaching and creating videos.
