This body of work came from a desire to create someting different. I promised myself when I moved to my new studio that I would make new work because I had been cheating at it by making cone 10 reduction work. So in the new studio I changed firing temperatures so I couldn't cheat by making similar glazes all the time.
Another reason why I changed temperatures was because at this lower temperature I am creating a much lower carbon footprint.
The single white glaze comes from the advice I give many students when they ask me what they should be doing. And so, I followed my own advice, which is to simplify everything in order to be more creative.
