this bottle is soda fired and is made from porcelain clay. One of my favorite things to do in soda firings is to introduce copper by using glazes with an abundance of copper that are strategically placed in the kiln.
At high temperatures it becomes volitile in the kiln. The copper flies around the kiln with the soda leaving a trail of its affect. This vase has hues of mauve, orange, green, and gray. It also trapped the carbon in the atomosphere so has grey and white speckling.
It really is a beautiful vase.
