This bottle is made from 3 pounds of clay and measures 13 inches high by 3.75 inches wide. The bottom portion has a dark slip added to it to create texture as well as a slight color variation.
The glaze is my white liner with my Grandma's Blue glaze sprayed over it. It's a trash glaze and is made up of many glazes all poured together and can not be duplicated. My Grandma actually loaned me money to build my first gas kiln and kiln shed. She was very supportive of me. She loved blue. Even after macular degeneration when she could only make out shapes I would show her a pot and she would ask, and proclaim, "Is it blue, I love blue". I like calling it this cause it makes me think of her.
